I spent the day being zonked, as has been true for a while. This is not as helpful as it might be, and I need to arrange a couple of days totally off of every obligation to finish recovering before I go back to work. (Those are mostly arranged already, just need to finish details.)

I went off to sit with Elise from 4-6, and we continued plotting on something very cool indeed. (There will be photos when we are done, I am sure.)

I then went off to meet my sister and her family (in town because my sister's been doing interviews with libraries across Wisconsin, and had hit the 'very close to Twin Cities' ones, and my nephew, who is in his teens, can spend hours at the Mall of America's Lego store. I notice that there is now an American Girl store there, too, so I suspect my nibling holiday present shopping just got a lot easier.)

Anyway, before they got there, we'd arranged to meet outside the Barnes and Noble. (Family has a tropism for bookstores, might as well use it) and I got there early enough to poke my head in and see if they had the Witches' Companion almanac from Llewellyn. They do, in fact, so I got to go "eeeeee" at seeing my name and article actually in print, and petting the nice pages. I very much like the illustrations they chose, too.

(I will be getting author copies, but we had a shipping snafu and I haven't yet gotten the actual copies, though they should be coming this week, I think. Once I do, I'll have comments on the other contents, but I know it includes articles by several people on my friends lists. I did the writing as Jenett Silver, for those looking for it, and it's an article on incorporating sound and music into personal practice.)

Anyway, we then went off and had a nice dinner (at Bubba Gump's, because nephew is currently on an elimination diet that includes no corn or rice, which rather limit's one's food choices.) and my sister and I cheerfully library geeked through most of it. I may very well see about going down to see them at Thanksgiving.
