For those not familiar, it's an exchange focused on worldbuilding (like it says on the tin) and in-universe meta and commentary are welcome formats for many requests. It produced some really cool stuff last year, and again this year! (Some of which I don't have the canon knowledge to fully appreciate.)
Here's the full list of works (author reveals are next Friday), but there's only 71 works, so a very manageable number to browse.
My gift
I got a lovely and charming story, original fic, about a bookstore with a touch of magic. (The books are not magic. The building is not magic. And yet...) I really love all the little details in here - the plays, the cat, the Soviet-era SF....
Blackwood's Books
Potterverse
Open A Book And Dare To Dream : Hermione explores a major wizarding library.
Whatever Happens (Don't Stop Singing) : A really glorious look at a choral and orchestral performance at Hogwarts, conducted by Filius Flitwick. The medievalist musician in me is utterly delighted by a lot of the theoretical details (very well handled!) and also the appearance of a hurdy-gurdy. Among other things.
C.O.C.K.A.T.R.I.C.E. Liaison: Minerva McGonagall in her role of exam coordinator, set during book 7. Brutally practical, done as notes and letters.
Lost Things (Always Come Back in the End): A really intriguing look at managing the problem of muggles stumbling on magic objects (set just-post books)
Lock In
(The John Scalzi book, for which there is another book coming in not too long). I think both of these are readable with the basic info in the Wikipedia entry.
ARCHIVE: The Integrator Boards : A great look at a handful of community forum threads.
More Scary Stories to Tell in the Agora : This is a stunningly designed set of scary stories, that get the genre of 'telling scary stories' blending in fascinating ways with the canon world.
Other
A Human's Guide To The Venusian Rat Trap : A great bit of worldbuilding done through plant care for a rather... active sort of plant pet.
The Girls Who Died : Hunger Games, and the summary on this one says it all: Eleven outfits Cinna never designed, and one he did.
