It started pretty ugh - weather.com's aches and pains scale says it was a 7, which is better than the 10 they were predicting earlier in the week.

However, I have either, in gaming terms, regained willpower points, or I've regained stamina (or maybe hit points or mana: depends how you define things.)

+ I dragged myself out of bed and to the Y only a few minutes later than desireable.
+ I got out of there on time
+ I held down the fort at work single-handed for a chunk of morning (everyone else being at a meeting: either I go or my minion goes, and this time it was more tech-and-summer stuff that affects her more.)
+ I managed to do paperwork in the afternoon and take it off to the Title office
+ And then go to my moxa appointment.

+++++ *All* of the moxa points except for the ankle ones took much less time than previously. This is a really good sign.

(Also, my herbalist is taking a cupping class this weekend, and is willing to do sessions for free for anyone in the area who she can work into her schedule for free. If you're interested, email me at [my user name] at gleewood.org and I'll pass on her info. (I've volunteered: I trust her to be sensible about learning new stuff.)

+++ I then came home, and have managed to finish up the editing to the Pagan Pride website that's going live tomorrow. (We need to do a final check on some details in tomorrow's meeting.) Actual meaningful stuff on computer after work!

I am now going to go to bed and read, and ignore the dishes and the house cleaning I should do and all that, but that's okay. I have time this weekend.

(I have also watched the most recent episode of Bones. I'm less peeved by them doing some weird stuff with a Wiccan-based group than I am by them mutilating history. I'll expand in comments, if people want.)

I'd be interested to read what you have to say about that! If it's spoilery I'll wait til I'm caught up before I read it, but at this rate that won't take much longer (almost halfway through season 4 now thanks to being home sick yesterday).

I saw about 20 minutes of that Bones episode...in the middle of the show. That is all I could stand. Colonial Era "witches" using rye for "ritual" my busted tail bone!
And finding modern rye with ergot poisoning? Holy cats, that would be the lawsuit of the hour. And their "descriptives" of so-called Wicca sounded more New Age than Wiccan. It was altogether horrible. I'm not a Bones fan...have seen an episode here or there; this one is a good reason why it is so seldom.

You should be happy with yourself for going even when you didn't really want to. But I'm sorry that you had another day you had to drag yourself through.

Personally I went and did the things I needed to do, but I was really half-assed about most of it.

There was some tangential Wiccan stuff in a recent House episode. They built up all this context and then went in a completely different direction. It was just enough to get me warming up that pot of rage on a back burner.

I haven't seen the very latest Bones yet, so if you write spoilery stuff, I'll be wanting of a cut tag until probably tomorrow night.
