[personal profile] jenett
As many of you may already know, there're plans afoot in several directions to celebrate the anniversary of Dreamwidth moving into open beta with three weeks of unique content for the site. (Content may be cross-posted, copied over, whatever after that, of course: the idea is just to give the site a huge revving up of interesting unique content.)

One of the things I'd really like to do is get an active Pagan discussion group going on here. As you may know, I set up one last December, after some other conversations, but health issues have meant I haven't had the time to devote to getting it moving.

However, this anniversary is too good to give up! So, here's my plan:

Encourage anyone remotely interested to join [community profile] the_thinking_pagan
You don't have to be Pagan, just interested in the conversation. As the profile says: "We're a place to talk about Paganism, Pagan paths, and related topics (ritual, divination, magic, deities, and many others.) We want this to be a thoughtful place, a place where questions and details are welcome, where ongoing conversation in a thread may take us into new and interesting territory. We're welcoming to people from all Pagan paths and practices, or those who are curious about them."

Make a discussion-encouraging post every day for those three weeks
Every day from April 26th to May 17th, I will post a new topic/question every day suitable for getting some general discussion going. I have a bunch of ideas, and welcome others (feel free to email, or leave in comments.) People who wish to adopt responsibility for a day are welcome (though I'd like to coordinate topics, so we don't hit the same thing two days in a row or something.)

(I hope by this time, the community will be a bit more self-sustaining, but I plan to continue periodic posts after this, too, obviously.)

Encourage you to consider committing to making comments and/or posts to the community during these three weeks
I'd love all of you (and anyone else interested, please pass it on!) to consider committing to making a comment a day, a comment every three days, whatever works for you, on posts in the community for the three weeks of the celebration. Or whatever other Dreamwidth community you care about. But if even 15 of us get a comment discussion going more days than not, we'll have a really great start for a community.

My own commitment - besides starting the discussion threads each day and commenting as relevant, is to make a comment or post in some other community on Dreamwidth every day as well.

Come join me!
