There will be eventual photos, if I either find my photo cable tonight, or buy a new one tomorrow. Home is nice. The cat still loves me. (She was all over me for about an hour, and has now gone back to her preferred napping spot.) I am still tired, but that's okay: nice cozy bed here, for when I get that far.)

Looking forward to seeing what you described so nicely. Hope it was a good trip overall.

When I was buying my camera, one of the things I looked for was a removable SD card, so I could decant the camera even when the cord was vacationing in Fiji without me.

If the EyeFi people weren't quite so creepy, I would have sprung for that.

I have a removeable card, but not a card reader. (Of course, if I were at work, I'd have one. Also could borrow a cable, for that matter. But I do not want to go to work to download images.) Fortunately, cables are cheap, and I'll snag one tomorrow, most likely.

My card reader was something like $0.87. It surprises me when I've got a techy thing someone else doesn't have. ;-)

I definitely picked a camera where the cord was optional and it didn't use the kinds of batteries someone else could borrow for other purposes. I know how terrible I am at keeping track of things like that. If I had to find the cord, I might as well not bother taking pictures! I wouldn't be taking pictures at all if my camera used AA batteries because I'd have to open every remote control and wall clock in my apartment to get them all back.

I wouldn't want to take personal stuff into work either... but I admit I often do when I need stuff printed in color.

Taking personal stuff in would be fine. It'd be the actually going to work part, since we're on spring break, and there's an excellent chance that if I stick my face in the door, someone will snag me for a question that'll take hours. (And probably be interesting, mind you, but still.)

I'm not a huge photo taker, and until now, the cable's been somewhere logical (with the case!) but I have no idea what I did with the case at the moment. I think it's buried in a box.
