Drove down to New Haven on Monday (or rather, Mom drove, and I read and conversed and made comments about the GPS navigator system she got.) Small nieces are small and adorable, and appreciated their birthday presents. We had conversation and dinner, and then went back to the hotel.
Yesterday, we took a 9:30 train into New York City, with outings to the American Girl Place (because the nieces are exactly that age.) and then wandered a bit, and then walked up to the Central Park Zoo which was a big hit with them.
My feet, however, are griping, as is a lot of the rest of my body. (We did something like 5.5 miles yesterday, all in less than ideal walking situations, and both my lungs and various other bits of me are regretting it.) Fortunately, today's plans are less strenuous.
