1) Registered for Fourth Street Fantasy convention. I have known I'm going since last year's, since I'm this year's hotel chair, but finally had money together for the registration. (It's going to be fantastic: check out the blog updates for more info. I'm glad to answer questions, too, because it's a somewhat unusual set-up.)

2) Also, I bought one of [livejournal.com profile] elisem's latest shinies, in this case, "Summoning She-Who-Knows" (see it here because I couldn't resist the name. (Also have paid [livejournal.com profile] selkie_b for a very lovely bit of dyed silk.

3) Slept immensely poorly. (My GI tract was very unhappy with me last night, which meant I woke up around midnight after sorta falling asleep at 10, and was up until after 1. When you get up at 5:30, this adds up to so not enough sleep.)

4) Made it upright this morning and into work.

5) Have scheduled appointment (at least a placeholder) with head of school.
Him, yesterday, outside after a fire drill: [bit about meeting he'd just been at] and "Oh, yes, we should meet tomorrow or Friday">
Me: [carefully contained eep]

The eeping, for those new to reading my stuff, is because they have finished interviewing candidates to do the long-term hiring for the job I currently have (I'm an interim: my former boss took a new job starting in January, I took his job for the semester, but school policy is to do major hiring process in such cases. I agree philosophically, but the reality of the stress and anxiety has really been starting to get to me the last week or two.)

Things I have not done recently:
1) Baked cookies (I bake once a week to lure faculty to come chat in the library office.) I bought very chocolate mini meringues at Trader Joe's instead. No one seems to mind.

2) Slept enough. See above.

3) Cleaned as much as I'd like for the discussion with prospective student that's happening at my place tonight. However I have food that can feed us, I have time to do mild cleaning when I get home, and we'll all cope, right? This is about living in the world.
