I think the answer there is yes, as well. Assuming data and spoons are present in great enough quantity.
I've applied in for presenting a couple times, and been told once "No thanks, but would you lead a discussion on this topic generally?" And once, "We like the idea, but would you present it as a board for people to examine in between panel sessions?"
For next year, if all goes according to plan this year, I'll probably put in to present on Thing that will be in Professional Publication, now with data about actual usage! - If not, maybe still TIPP, but without usage data because Library System passed on the idea. Either way, I'm hoping when it gets published, people want to know more or do it for themselves.
