It's because I work so far fro home. I can't run home to grab things -- I have to be prepared for all contingencies before I leave my house. And added to that is that, in the summer, there is a ton of traffic near my house (for the beach) so I often want to go from work straight to other things. And since the uniform is ridiculous and I can't have a beer or glass of wine while wearing it... a change is essential!
