I've actually been *very* lucky on the meds side: once I convinced someone to give my synthetic thyroid (and convinced the current doctor about dosage for the prescription Vitamin D), it's been pretty straightforward, thankfully. (And very lucky that the side effects for them have been manageable and gone away given a bit of time.)
