This was a useful post for me to read. For a number of reasons, foremost of which may be the importance of simply taking care of oneself.
nuanced about types of exhaustion
Ooooh yes.
I don't have a thyroid issue, but do have trouble maintaining my temperature when it's cold. Difficult to say how much that's a natural tendency and how much that's a psychosomatic symptom of depression. Well ok there's just enough to make me wonder if treating my thyroid system somehow would help. My energy level goes up and down, but then I also have ADHD and possible bipolar spectrum disorder (or maybe it's mild borderline-personality disorder, wihch can look a bit like bipolar). Though my energy level goes up and down over the course of the the day as well as my baseline mood and energy varying over days and weeks. So. I don't know. Same for the lack of stamina - my bursts of energy usually burn out pretty quickly, one way or another. Except at some point I hope I find a helpful GP.
Do you mind my asking more about your diet? I mean, eggs and more meat, definitely. I'm an omnivore, trying to eat more protein esp animal protein, and I don't eat much dairy. Low income but I mean, I'm gonna be eating anyway and I will spend more for things that have a higher nutritional value.
I'm interested in nettle and oatstraw. Where do you get yours? Is it dried? How do you prepare it? I mean, I could just look up how to make an infusion, but figured I'd ask.
Your tactic toward eating warm things esp with warming spices is useful, thanks.
As always, it's an education reading your posts - and this is particularly helpful for me right now esp since one of the things I'm focusing on now is my diet (which has always been good for some senses of the word, but I'm realizing wasn't what I needed).
