Glad it's helpful. On the loans - it really is tricky right now. One thing you might do is talk to the school and get real hard numbers on employment rates for recent graduates - I'd look as much as 10 years back, because the last couple of years have been hit by the other economic issues.
I do know people who went to school full time and did it fast (it's possible but not very common in the program I went to, and two friends did it with Simmons) but I'm sort of conflicted about which way is a better idea.
(My older sister, who's a library science professor, does say that there's still a demand for people interested in teaching the subject, and I keep eyeing that one really thoughtfully.)
