Mm. I'm not sure Gaffer Tape vs. Duct Tape is unnecessary terminology? Gaff tape comes off without leaving nasty sticky residue on your cables, and Duct Tape...not so much. ;) (Cheap gaff tape may well be equivalent to duct tape though.)
