State of the Jen

This morning: Quite good really. I felt like I was getting my brain back in deep ways that haven't been true since.. oh, last July? There was good music. It was a lovely sunny day out (none of this 'largely cloudy' thing the forecast was suggesting.) I had had a very nice breakfast at the B&B.

Major art coming my way

So, moonvoice had commission space open up. And I have this orca thing.

I have major nifty art coming my way - she was great about checking in at each stage of the process (basic layout, sketching in, color, etc.) and the piece is done and will be on the way to me in the next couple of days. In the meantime, she's posted the scan.

I'm very excited about this, because I've got visuals of one form or another for the other animal-related work stuff I want physical objects for, but this was the tricky one, for reasons I am happy to go into when it is not almost 11pm. I'm especially delighted about the color choices: we talked a little about which ones I really don't do well with, and I mentioned doing really well with rich jewel-tone shades. I'm told in email that the colors really don't show up to their full extent on the scan.
